Definitions

Breather Tube - Vents air from inside the protected area of the non-pressure chamber to effectively prevent entry of liquid and solid corrosive contaminants that can cause premature failure of the spring brake chamber.

Heavy Duty - These units contain a heavy duty power spring adding 160 lbs. additional parking brake force at 1.25 inches (31.8 mm) of stroke.

Welded Mounting Bolts - Mounting bolts that are weld-reinforced into an 8-gauge pressure housing providing a stronger mounting base. These units are designed specifically for use on equipment with reverse cam rotation, heavy spring or rubber block suspension, or on vehicles utilizing flotation and/or "super single" tires or any combination of those components.

Severe Service - These units have the center case and piston epoxy coated for extra added protection and includes our spring guide constructed from heavy-duty, non-conductive composite material designed to resist the effects of corrosion for optimal operation in severe environments containing acids, salt, liquid corrosives and concrete.

Piggyback - An industry term for the parking or emergency chamber found atop the service brake chamber of a typical spring brake combination.

Base Model - A model that contains just the standard features including our original tamper resistant safety design.
